spring

Yellow telephones
in a row in the garden
are ringing,
shrill with light.

from

Daffodils

Inspiration was there to be taken from the early risers in the yard this early spring. They captured the light and threw it out again. It's the same impression I took from the art of Leonid Afremov in Christie's (ST)ART blog (thanks Christie). They are concentrators of light and hope and new life.

Yes, I found it, the edit pencil! Here is the link to Crackle:

  1. Ha! I just posted to Linda that her images were like a character study of a tree. Now I see you have done a beautiful character study of daffodils. I guess we were all three thinking about flowers. Maybe we're ready for Spring?

  2. PS. The second image is my favorite. It's so feminine and it reminds me of a skirt, fanning when it's owner twirls.

  6. Lester, these images are tremendously beautiful... I've seen transparent light images printed on clear plastic,
Or acetate, then mounted in a window mat, to let the light become more transparent.. If by chance you are interested I could send you one...also I have been scanning small flowers with the scanner door open, and the images are somewhat similar in spirit to your images.. Thanks for sharing them with us. Jane

    1. Jane, thanks so much. I'd love to see your idea in print and try it with these. Or maybe that gold leaf thing you did.
